Herastrau Lake
Herastrau Lake (74 hectares)
where the Herastrau Park was built in 1936. The projects for this park were made
by architects Pinard and Rebhun, the latter being
the one who also created the vegetal composition (tress, flowers etc).
About 1806, the members of the high society of Bucharest used to take walks on
the embankments of the Herastrau Lake. Nowadays it is one of the most populated
areas in Bucharest. Annually, the park hosts numerous floral and canine
exhibitions.
