National Museum of Romanian History

National Museum of Romanian History: an old building, 1894 –1900, built in a Neo Classical style; its construction was inspired by the Post Palace of Geneva. The former Post Palace has the front entrance decorated with Doric columns.

The museum holds the section of: Prehistory, Lapidarium, Trajan`s Column (the copy of Trajan`s column in Rome), Ancient History, Medieval history, Modern and Contemporary history, Thesaurus, Numismatics, reunites in 60 rooms valuable exhibits.

 

The museum is open to the public: Tuesday - Sunday: 10:00 - 18:00 (May – September); 09:00 – 17:00 (October – April)

The museum is closed on Monday.
