Partridges are available in Romania in the plain and hilly areas, with intensive agriculture. Highest density is found in the south of the country.

Very important is that the partridge population in Romania is exclussively wild - there is not such a practice to populate hunting fields with farm grown partrides. Weight of an adult bird is of 350 - 400 grams.

Hunting method: truck hunting (by foot) with retriver dogs.

The partridge hunting with retrivers is a sports, entertaining hunting, offering unforgettable moments to the hunters.

One may walk for 5 - 10 km on a hunting day, and a good crop for a hunter would be 5 - 6 partridges.

 Recommended gun: shot gun, pellet diameter 2.5 - 3 mm (No. 7; 5).
