FLORIN TOTAN conductor
Principal conductor of the Valcea Philharmonic and music director of the “Sinfonia Bucuresti” orchestra, Florin Totan followed the musical tradition of his family, studying with the greatest Romanian and foreign conductors Bugeanu, Celibidache, Ferrara and Schumacher, in Bucharest, Munich, Siena, Berlin and Paris. He is the only Romanian conductor to have won two International Conductors Competitions (Mürzzuschlag-Austria, 1990 and Berlin-Germany, 1991). He conducted concerts in France, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Israel and Austria.
