Departure to Sibiu. Visit Curtea de Arges Monastery, a wonderful Byzantine monument, built in the 14th century, by Neagoe Basarab, the origin of a famous legend (Mesterul Manole). The Monastery is comparable to Sf. Sofia Monastery. Visit Dracula Castle at Poienari. Visit Cozia Monastery (14th century).

Poienari Castle, Vlad Tepes Residential Castle, is located near the village of Curtea de Arges. The village provides excellent views of the Fagaras Mountains. The castle sits 27 km high above the village. 1,500-stair climb gets you into the castle itself.

Sightseeing Sibiu, established in the 12th century, one of the most fascinating cities of Romania, astonishing its visitors with its mediaeval look: narrow and crooked streets, old Gothic houses with triangle gables and pointed roofs. Walking sightseeing tour of Medieval Sibiu including the historic city center, the Main Square and the Little Square, the Old Town Hall's Tower, the Ladder Tower, Maria Kirche Teutsch (Evangelical church), Council Hall's Tower. Departure to Sighisoara, medieval stronghold, where Dracula was born. Walking visit of the old town with the Clock Tower, the covered stairs and the mediaeval streets.
The central clock tower has an interesting turntable, featuring a different Roman god for every day of the week. The interior of the tower is now a museum with a fascinating collection of objects from the Middle Ages. Just inside the walls is the home where Vlad Dracul, father of Vlad "Dracula" Tepes, lived for four years and where Dracula himself was born (the building is now a combination restaurant/medieval arms museum). There is also a very nice old church
atop a hill within the old walls. Lunch at Sighisoara.

Hightlights: Painted Monasteries from UNESCO heritage

Route: Cluj Napoca - Dej - Bistrita - Pasul Bargaului - Vatra Dornei - Campulung Moldovenesc - Moldovita - Sucevita -  Voronet - Suceava (355 km)

Departure to the historical region of Moldavia through the Bargau Pass. Visit to the monasteries of Moldovita, Sucevita and Voronet, well known for their wall frescoes, two of the greatest monasteries in Moldova.

Tour of monasteries include the most famous and beautiful painted churches of Bucovina, erected since 15th century. The oldest one, Moldovita from 1410, obtained, in 1975, the “Pomme d`Or” (Golden Apple) trophy granted by F.I.J.E.T. for its unique paintings.

Voronet is famouse for ‘”blue de Voronet” and for the scene embodied on the western façade, that of The Judgement Day.

Sucevita is the most complete monastery with regards to architecture and also interior and exterior paintings.

Route: Suceava - Falticeni - Tg. Neamt - Piatra Neamt - Bicaz Gorges - Gheorgheni - Miercurea Ciuc - Sf. Gheorghe - Brasov  (380 km)

Departure to Piatra Neamt. Visit to the Art Museum and Neamt Monastery. Departure to Brasov we cross the mountains passing through the Bicaz Gorges, wonderful places where the wilderness of the scenery created legends connected to nature (the Red Lake legend, the Stânca Corbitei legend). Short break at the Red Lake.

Cheile Bicazului pass by Bicaz Lake is one of the deepest canyons in Europe. It's over 800 meters deep and cut in a limestone by the Bicaz River. It is a natural border between Moldavia and Transylvania, the two historical provinces in Romania. A very spectacular place to see.

One of the numerous small waterfalls being the affluent of the Bicaz River. Those small streams of water going all over from the canyon’s walls add to the amazing atmosphere of this amazing place. A kingdom of mystery, water and shadow - that's how we can describe Cheile Bicazului, one of the deepest gorges in Europe

Route: Brasov - Bran - Sinaia  (70 km)

Sightseeing tour of Brasov. The main attraction is the14th century Black Church, the oldest and largest Gothic church in the country. It has a 4.000 - pipe organ, an extensive Oriental rug collection and interesting pews and sepulchers. Nearby are two fascinating Orthodox churches, Sfanta Trieme and Church of St. Nicholas. The Schei District (the old Romanian section of town, while the rest had been inhabited by German Saxons) and the main plaza have countless intriguing old buildings - be sure to look for the old Council Hall on the plaza; it now houses a history museum. Other attractions include the White and Black Towers (part of the old wall), 16th century Catherine's Gate and an art museum.

Route: Sinaia - Comarnic - Breaza - Campina - Ploiesti - Bucharest  (120 km)

Visit the Peles Castle, former royal residence, Pelisor and Sinaia Monastery, built 1690 and 1695 by Spatar (Prince's sword bearer) Mihail Cantacuzino, after a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and Mount Sinai, hence the name of the Monastery and of the town.
