Route: Bucharest

Arrival to Romania, the land of folkloric treasures, legends and beauty, but also the home of Count Dracula. A representative of the Count will be your guide and mentor in this world of reality and fiction.. City tour 4 hours. Explore Bucharest, the capital of Romania, first mentioned in a document dated September the 20th 1459 signed by prince Vlad the Impaler him self. Introduction into the real life of the Prince, who was the inspiration for Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula".  Dinner and overnight in Continental hotel 4*or similar.

Hightlights: Curtea de Arges Monastery, Poienari Castle, Medieval Sibiu and Sighisoara Citadel

Route: Bucharest – Curtea de Arges –Poienari – Rm.Valcea – Sibiu – Sighisoara (445  km)

Breakfast, early morning. Departure to Poienari, the place where Vlad Tepes retired out of the way of  Turks. Visit the Poienari Citadel. Situated on an abrupt rock, The Citadel can only be reached by climbing 1400 steps. One third of the castle collapsed down the mountainside in 1888. Departure to Sibiu. Lunch in Sibiu. Sightseeing tour of Mediaeval Sibiu including the historic city center, the Main Square and the Little Square, the Old Town Hall's Tower, the Ladder Tower, Maria Kirsch Teutsch (Evangelical church), Council Hall's Tower. Departure to Sighisoara, the town where Vlad the Impaler was born.  Accomodation in Sighisoara, at Sighisoara Hotel 3*. 

Hightlights: Clock Tower, Vlad Dracul’s House, Weapons Museum,  Covered Wooden Stairway

Route: Sighisoara – Targu Mures – Bistrita – Piatra Fantanele (165 km)

Breakfast. Sighisoara city tour. Lunch. Departure to Bistrita. We enter Count Dracula's domain and arrive to Bistrita. Prince Vlad is now history, here Count Dracula reigns. Wine tasting in Lechinta. Overnight at Piatra Fantanele Castle.

Hightlights: Montain of Ceahlau and Bistrita Valley

Route: Piatra Fantanele - Tihuta - Vatra Dornei - Durau (205 km)

Breakfast. Leave Transylvania and drive to Moldavia, Neam county, along the Golden Bistrita River to the Magic Mountain of Ceahlau. Picnic lunch on Golden Bistrita Valley. Visit Durau Monastery. Durau is a magic place full of legends and mistery. Dinner and overnight in Durau at Bradul Hotel 3*.

Hightlights: Bicaz Gorges

Route: Durau – Bicaz - Cheile Bicazului – Gheorghieni – Miercurea Ciuc - Brasov (300  km)

Breakfast. On our way to Brasov we will pass through the magnificent Bicaz Gorges, admiring the beautiful landscapes. Lunch in Miercurea Ciuc. Arrival in Brasov.

Dinner and overnight in Brasov, at Bella Musica Hotel 3*.

Hightlights: Poiana Brasov  resort Prejmer Fortified Church

Route: Brasov – Poiana Brasov – Prejmer – Brasov (60 km)

Breakfast. We will visit Poiana Brasov, a beautiful mountain resort and Prejmer Fortified Church. It was built in the 15th century by the Cistercian order. The fortress has double walls (3-5 m thick and 14 m high), being the biggest fortified church in Transylvania. Lunch in Prejmer. Accommodation in Brasov at Bella Musica Hotel 3*.  

Hightlights: Bran Castle, Rasnov Fortres, Peles Castle, Sinaia Monastery

Route: Brasov – Bran – Rasnov – Predeal – Sinaia (85  km)

Breakfast. Departure to Bran and visit the Bran Castle. Continue our way to Sinaia, the residence of the Romanian Royalty. Lunch in Sinaia at Taverna Sarbului restaurant. Overnight in Sinaia at Palace Hotel 3*.

Hightlights: Prahova Valley

Route: Sinaia –  Bucuresti  (150 km)

All good things come to an end and sadly so does our trip, as we are now on the way back to Bucharest, through the beautiful landscapes of Prahova Valley.
